    • Story I asked my girlfriend to marry me in September of 2013. Working in a pet store, it took many extra shifts and saving every dime I could to buy this ring for her. After pretending to forget something, we came to my house and the place was covered in candles and rainbow roses. I put a note in a mason jar with flashing lights (I always said she gave me fireflies)and she happily said yes. Seven months and our own place later, two days after discussing plans for our wedding, she told me that she "wasn't sure" about marrying me. She promised up and down that we would work through anything and she loved me more than life itself, but she still ran off for a week to "think things over" and returned with news. She was moving three hours away with her childhood friend and we were done. The next morning, she blocked me on Facebook, didn't want any contact, and left with her friend. I'll never understand why. This ring was honestly bought with all the love in the world. Hopefully, this ring will have its happy ending by giving a future to another couple.
